Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
8-Week Virtual Workshop Series
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based mindfulness program developed by world-renowned Meditation Teacher and Scientist Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. In this program, you will systematically learn a variety of mindfulness and gentle yoga practices to manage stress, pain, and illness better. Learning to practice MBSR can help you bring your mind back to the present moment – a key part of reducing stress and managing pain. Join us in this 8-week series to explore meditation and yoga practices – all within a supportive community – and create space for more healing, vitality and joy amongst the demands and stressors of daily life.
Spring Session 2024 will be offered on Monday evenings starting on April 8, 2024.
Zoom Classes will run once a week on Mondays, starting on April 8, 2024, and ending on May 27, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 9 PM ET.
The all-day retreat will be held on Zoom on May 18, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM ET.

MBSR Orientation on Youtube
1.5-Hour Session
Watch my MBSR orientation. By the end of this orientation session, you will have come away with a solid understanding of what to expect by taking the 8-week MBSR program. Topics covered include the origins of MBSR, the weekly format and guidelines of MBSR, definitions of Mindfulness and Meditation, and the first-hand experience of practicing mindfulness in this session.

Mindfulness Retreat
The Mindfulness Retreat provides a valuable opportunity to experience some of the practices that are offered in the world-renowned 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. Some of the benefits of mindfulness include helping to relieve stress, lowering blood pressure, reducing chronic pain, improving sleep, and increasing well-being. The guided mindful meditations will be provided by Nina Paul and Cynthia Powell, Qualified MBSR Teachers, and a couple of the practices will include gentle yoga movements. There will be an open discussion prior to the close of the event, and participants will have an opportunity to share information about their retreat experience.
